M is for Mud

It was smoking hot today! In the 80's ...
it was like this a few days before Christmas just last week. Soooo instead of complaining there is no snow, rain or clouds like I normally do around this time. I took advantage of the weather and had Miles play in the sprinklers to cool him off.

weather report.

San Diego was hit with some really cool weather on Mon...about time! We really need the rain. Days like this are ideal for me, good energy for creating art.

....Alert! Alert!.... kill all huminoids.

This year Miles wanted to be a Robot. So we made him this robot costume, "The Z-m99." It turned out a little top heavy for Miles. We still need to add some more bolts to the costume and find some gloves. Once this happens we will take better shots of "Z-m99"........Unfortunately, the photos turned out really bad and this is one of the better ones.

Here is a few shots of  the process.

V

Found this little lizard running around the yard.

My hands are still jacked up from the latex allergy. I picked a sensitiVity to latex through tattooing and using latex gloves. If I even touch latex paint, I break out in a mean rash on my face and my hands swell and a blotchy red spots appear.  I also get a weird tiny blisters that form under my skin.

Blood

While working on the Vamperina show, I happened to find these mysterious blood drops out side of the house near the studio. Starting at the south side of the porch and heading north and then wrapping around the north side heading eats and trailing through the west side of the back porch, heading south and up the back steps and heading east up the hill.

I couldn't figure out where in the hell these drops came from. I wondered if it was human or animal? Could it be a chupacabra? Or an escaped lunatic, like the Joker? Or a victim of a Vampire attack? Or could it be the latest casualty of Dondi's rampage, against villainous varmints ???

Petrfied!

I was sitting down watering the lawn one day and notice on the ground an odd looking rock.  Out of instinct, I picked it up since I do collect rocks* (a habit I learned from my wonderfull mother in law) and with closer observation  I notice it looked like bark from a tree but was heavy. I turned it around and instantly notice it was a petrified piece of bark. I have no idea where it came from? Maybe it had been on the property ever since... oh, a million years ago. The lot was purchased in 1920's, so who knows? I will probably search around for more up on the hill.

As I was staring at it, I was thinking about how fucking old this thing is! I mean this shit its old!.... really old... old school old, older than moses old!  My mind was racing and trying to figure out how in the hell it got here?  How did it get knocked off of a tree and Wound up here, right in front of me? Maybe some huge beast knocked it off , while going after some brontosaurus for lunch? Or could it be from the tusk of a wooly mammoth knocking it off a branch. I like that word mammoth!

* yeah, I'm Nerd!

"Kill the wabbit! Kill the wabbit!"

What is a guy to do? I keep getting interrupted while I'm painting! Between Miles vandalising my piece (show pics later) and my wife freaking out, because what appeared to be a soft fury toy That Sky dog was playing with and she was about to pick up and toss.....turned out to be a mauled rabbit.

Oh the carnage!

Dondi really out did him self this time!

The culprit Mr.Barry Sanders , everybody!

Dondi's Chewy Squirrel

Well, Dondi's is at it again. Like I mentioned before in the post "Catstration". This time, he caught us a Squirrel. I loved squirrels when I was lad. Spending my summers in Saratoga Springs, NY.  The squirrels and chipmunks would wondered near the back porch of my Grandparents house along with plenty of Blue jays and Cardinals. So I have a real soft spot for Squirrels.

Dondi's out of frame and ready to pounce.

Saved! After Dondi mauled it for a while under the porch.
(Note* the blood smear on the left lower corner. Dondi mangled a Gopher and I had to put it out of its misery. )

I caught charley #9 and let it go on the property next to us.

Unfortunately charley 9 came back the next day.
 To be continued.

Catstration

We took our cat to the vet a few weeks ago. Dondels (nick name) had a huge tumor type thing on his side and we were worried, especially after the sore exploded and left a gaping hole the size of a half dollar. The vet said that Cat Dondi will be okay and just needs to be stitched up. While he was staying the night, might as well get his man hood taken away. We were thinking Mr Dondi will be a little pink... if ya know what I mean.... you know a  wuss!  We have varmints that need to be killed drabnabit! He had a four kills so far, which is not a whole lot. But man, after he healed up, Dondi is now a regular, Anton Chigurh... with whiskers.

Our vision of Cat Dondi after the operation.

First kill after the castration  and now an official Ace!

Poor vermin!
