FOX 5

This was aired on FOX5 today, I got a call the day before from Crol, he was kind enough to ask me to be apart of a segment spotlighting the H&nds project. Being the media whore I' am I said yes! He told me the specifics about it and he wasn't to clear about the wall or what we are painting on. He told me I can paint what ever I wanted. So being unprepared because of short notice I grabbed my black book and my paintbox and threw it in the car.

The next day I arrived around 5:15 am , but was at the wrong location I ended up at the old location which is now the WB Channel 5. I didn't realize the changed locations since the last time I did anything for FOX was around 1998. So I finally arrived to the scene around 530. Crol and crew followed suit. We set up and got to work around 6am.

I busted out my outline sorta free styled it, which I hate doing so half way Through... I was approached by a big titted woman who asked me if I could go over what I painted with a city scape. luckily for me I had someone to step in and basically told her to fuck off in a nice way and I was able to continue . I wish I was able to paint a better piece. I was under allot of pressure finishing by 9am with borrowed paint and a some what Frankenstein outline. oh well remember kids always be prepared.....not to mention I didn't expect to be interviewed so I was really nervous and I don't really like surprise questions from the media.

Now I wondering how long my piece will stay up!....i will do a day by day to see how long it will last.

man! I'm over weight hahaha, I need to loose a few pounds like 50 of them...going to ride a bike now!!!

Nov 1996

I had nooo idea that Juxtapoz magazine ran a photo of me painting a piece while I was visiting my x Crew mate Mike Giant at the Winrock mall sewer ditch in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was there #8 issue, Kind of crazy being part of the first mentioning of Graffiti in this art magazine which now features other graffiti artist/painters of the same vain on a regular basis. Although I hate the term "Street Art" It was cool seeing this for the first time a few weeks back.

4080

St Paco, found this on the Complex web site. It is about ol rapp mags that have died over the years. Since, I was a rapp fan from 79-91ish, I decided to investigate browsed around a few and instantly laid eyes on the cover of 4080. I have forgotten about 4080, since my graffiti paraphernalia from 1994 and below was collected by Americas finest. I instantly remembered this cover, since I was present that day in San Fransisco, and the iconic photo of the Police car that was vandalised and was plastered in all sort of magazines. That was the nail in the coffin for "Market street yard." After a few glances of random covers and I went back to the 4080 section and then I had an "Oh shit moment" and realised my car was in the back ground with a 594 sticker on the front wind screen! I think the person standing next to my car on the driver side is me. Tonight I will go through my archives and post What I have from that day.

Cold Busted!

Click

I was trying to get out of serving time by saying I painted the "Cap Color Train" two years ago. But in fact during the interview with the news paper: I said "Over a Year ago" the media has a habit of always screwing up your story somehow. So a "year" turned into "two years." The reason why I was saying this*: Since I already admitted to the crime during questioning. I swore they had everything that I owned and they did! It took them three vehicle's including a van to get ALL my graffiti paraphernalia out of the house. But for some reason I forgot that I had still in my possession the "Cap Color" outline along with a few 80's graffiti photos and drawings stashed in a box in the rafters.

* I was trying to get out of it by admitting I did indeed paint the train but it was more than a year ago on the day of my arrest. At the time if you committed a certain crime and you avoided arrest for a year the charges were dropped. I was short by a month or two.

This was my 7th graffiti related arrest and my last.

15 years ago today.

Basically I got involved with this sting operation. To make a long story short....well that can't be done it's a long story regardless.  I will post up more articles about this event in the following weeks. I highlighted the article in pink were I'm personally involved.

Shock...Horror.....More shock..Uh embarrassed!?!

I'm the first kid breaking that they show I'm wearing a baby blue Adidas suit.

WOW!!!! The ghost from Christmas pass caught up with me today.  I forgot about this news story, I can't believe we actually made it on the news for doing a little performance for some handicap kids. I remember a few of the Down Syndrome girls had a crush on Rich. They kept on trying to touch him and was saying he is cute. They were flirting with him the whole time.
hahah, he turned them down. No pun intended.
Rich "The heart breaker" Real
"Gravity Ground Crew"...Uh...Yeah, this had to be in 1983.
I was wearing a freaking bandanna around my left ankle!!! And oh God!... my footwork was awful and my back spins were sloooow!!! And I was popping and breaking at the same time hahahah. holy crap! Lots of kick worms were being executed that day, that was the big power move then along with the hand spin. This was pre-windmill (continuous back spin) I was still in Junior high at the time and this was probably before we got to see "Wild Style" at the Ken theater. which blew are minds and I probably crapped my drawers at least a dozen times that night and that set me off in the right path,....Thank you MR. Charlie Ahearn!

2 hype

I Painted this skull in between Me and Daze's pieces, I have no idea what I painted next to the skull. From the look of things it was a UGA re-union production painted in 1991 down at the old Euclid ave yard.
