Behind The Post Office

I painted this Petty pinup girl in 1997 at a store called "Behind The Post Office." It was located down town San Diego and was a meeting place for hip hoppers and the cool people (hipsters nowadays) Quasar was hanging out with me, along with a few others that I can't remember.... through out the day while I was painting the pinup, "Q" noticed a dude on a bike checking me out while I was painting, Quasar mentioned this a few times like.... "YO! whose that dude Yo! He's like studying you, Yo!" (Quasar...said "yo" a lot) He kept on leaving and coming back, He never once came over. Some how, Quasar recognized him and it turned out to be "loomit" from Germany.

Purple 1997

An aerosol painting I did of "Nas" in 1997...its around 36" x 36" I wished I left out both highlights on the jaw and didn't sign my name in a God-awful way !
That's what I get for trying to be "Next Level."

Oorah

I was hired by red bull a while back to paint at a military type of function. I wanted to paint something related to the event. I decided to use Chesty Puller as my subject. unbeknownst to Red Bull, and my self, one of his descendant was at the event and was giving the art work. It now hangs at one of the head quarters for the U.S.M.C in Virginia.

The set up.

I was rusty at the time using spray paint for portrait's. I did have it at a really nice spot were it could of been finished and the proportions was head on. But, I ran out of brand of spray paint and was forced to use a darker shade of color from another brand of paint. The two didn't react well and didn't match up in tone. The darker color add fatness to the existing part of the face and messed up the proportions and I couldn't fix it.

You can see the difference It was heading in the right direction before I had to re do it with the other brand down below.

The finished Product.

Pokez

Ten years has past since I painted this in 1997 on Pokez Mexican Restaurant with minor help from Quasar on the back ground. For a hot sec Pursue, Quasar and I were planing on doing murals around town as a mural company, hence the whole "conceptual design" that didn't last long and days after completing this mural that was the last I have seen of Quasar.
