Studio Part 2

Not the greatest  collection....Chrome Yellow, Pastel Aqua, Chippewa (Paper Label) , Pastel Yellow, Spanish Brown, Burnt Orange, Avacado, Baby Blue..Etc This is what I have left from my bust in 94.

Dont see alot of these anymore. Same with Growco paint.

Large Oils

Small Oils

References and Art books.

Old lock from The 18th century and my late Aunts dentures.

A few victorian era umbrellas minus the short one.

This ones my favorite because of the print. I think its from the 50's - 60's.

Some skull I found on the grounds of the ranch. Could be a cat or some miniature mythical beast.

Eh...I wished I had my original S.W. action figures from 77. I blew them up in 78 with fire crackers. The books are the only survivors.

My folks wedding cake topper from the 50's.

Studio Part 1

Here is a closer look at my studio and some of my collectables.  I have more stuff to show you fine folks and hope to do so later down the road. To do this; first I need to expand the studio, I'm getting cramped in it and need more space for working on multiple piece at the same time. Im really trying to figure out how I'm going to expand the studio into the tool room. I did  some work removing the floor. But now I need to demolish the walls soon and start building . I hope to be finished by the end of Spring and I will post my progression.

A 8mm cartoon short.

Paint brushes, the blue ones are the ones I use the most.

Dolls and ceramic figurines.

This tool is great for getting all the oil paint out of that
tube and not wasting any... a money saver!

A few bugs I found around the ranch.

Cool, flyer from the early 1900's. Can be used as a
distinguished gentleman's Mustache.

When gay... ment happy.

2nd hand

Man, I love a good thrift store, antique mall and a flea market! You can usually find me in one, especially, When I have an upcoming art show. I'm always on the hunt for frames, vintage children's books, dolls, ephemera, photos and other reference materials that catch my eye and might spark some creative response. I have been researching for my up coming show and have been buying frames for it for almost a year. I still need about 5 frames left for the show. So I'm in the field 4 days out of the week, searching and looking for that perfect frame. Once in awhile I will come across some great items like an old Halloween lantern from the 40's.  I got lucky the other day when I came across this 1959 "The visible man" for only $10 what a deal!!! They usually go for around $60 .... its not like its rare or the holy grail.... I just always wanted one I think they are freaking cool! I'm also on the hunt for The visible woman, Horse, dog and skull.

Now I just have to put it together.

Box and all, Miles not included.

Has all the parts! Only major issue was the broken foot
Epoxy did the trick and it just like new!

It had a few dirt marks and glue on the body... goof off cleaned it up nicely!

It had some tape on the bones, but that was easy to clean.

Just in time for St. Patricks day

A friend of mine named Sewer, hooked me up with these authentic PRO-Keds laces from the 70's box and all. Although all my Keds are beat to a pulp. (I'll post photos later) I'm on the hunt to find me some new pk's so I can lace them up and be more official.

Thanks man!

As a bonus, Sewer gave miles a pair of suede 70's PRO-Keds. What a guy!

Velocipede

I have been wanting an old bike for the longest time! Curently, I have a 60's Schwinn 10 speed that I plan on rebuilding and make it a fixed gear,Frankenstein bike. When I was living in Montana in the 90's I passed up an vintage bike do to moving and storage. Yeah, stupid stupid!I made a lot of stupid choices in the big sky state! I had the chance to buy a 64 ford galaxy, in great condition. Instead my lame ass bought a rusted, hardly running, milk crate for seats, 64 Impala super sport* for a few $ 500 dollars more. The reason I didn't buy the Galaxy " I didn't like the rear lights!" .....What was I thinking!!!!

*As of today the Impala is not yet running and haven't had the upholstery put in it yet!!!

I have the chance to redem my self over the summer, my wife and I are taken a trip to Nebraska this summer and hope to find one of these beauties down below in any condition rust and all!
